Project Overview

Redesigning the Apple Wallet was an exciting opportunity to reimagine how users interact with their digital cards, tickets, and payment options. My focus was on creating a more intuitive, visually cohesive experience that prioritizes accessibility and ease of use.

Problem

Apple Wallet users struggle to find specific cards due to lack of categorization and customization options.

Solution

Introduced customizable categories, filters, and enhanced search to help users quickly locate and organize their cards, creating a smoother, more efficient experience.

Features & Iterations

Desk Research

Generation Z solves everything with the growing digital wallet market.

The digital wallet market, which was 20%, is now a promising market that is expected to grow to 32% and to 41% in 2026. In fact, 79% of Generation Z, who will be major users in the future, use electronic wallets.

Apple Wallet is one of the most used digital wallets.

As of 2022, 48.7% of Americans use iPhones, and about 21.2% of American consumers use Apple Pay. The number of users using Apple Wallet is expected to continue to increase in the future.

Competitor Analysis

Insights were derived by comparing three of the most used digital wallets in the United States.

User Journey

We conducted user journal maps with Gen Z as persona, who uses digital wallets on a daily basis.

Solution

Based on the Pain Point analyzed through Persona, we derived Apple Wallet's solution.

Project Goals

Next Steps

Conduct more user testing

The user testing conducted so far appears to be insufficient. Therefore, I plan to carry out additional testing in the future to gather more comprehensive insights.

Iterate on design

Implement changes based on user feedback and ensure that the redesign addresses usability issues and enhances user experience.
